About Us

WHAT IS THE ASIAN UNDERGRADUATE SUMMIT?

The Asian Undergraduate Symposium (AUS) is a two-week programme organised by NUS College (NUSC) that brings together undergraduates from Singapore and across Asia, with a focus on ASEAN. AUS aims to give participants the opportunity for cultural exchange, networking, and capacity development.

Participants will engage with domain experts, be trained in project proposal writing and nudged to collaborate with each other to propose projects based upon one of their chosen problem statements guided by the theme of the year’s AUS.

Initiated in 2015 by the NUS University Scholars Programme (USP) and supported by Temasek Foundation from 2015-2023, AUS serves as a platform for Asian undergraduates of diverse disciplines to engage in meaningful academic and intercultural exchange.

Building on the strength of previous AUS, AUS 2024 welcomed over 300 participants, becoming a highly anticipated programme in the AUN Summer Camp calendar.

NUS College (NUSC) is the honours college of the National University of Singapore and is also Singapore’s first honours college. NUSC focuses on seminar-style teaching and interdisciplinary learning. Fully integrated into the larger NUS ecosystem, NUSC students have access to more than 50 majors, minors, specialisations and other programmes, as well as facilities and opportunities across the University.

The College, which admitted its first cohort in 2022, takes in 6-7% of each year’s undergraduate cohort across NUS. Our community spans an academic team of local and international experts in their fields, as well as a diverse global student body.
